HURRICANE, HURRICANE

Well, once again we are suppposed to go to Disney World in Florida this coming up Wed., Sept. 3. Last week the trip got cancelled b/c of tropical storm Faye. I am so sick of hearing about the hurricanes, tropical storms, etc... Don't get me wrong- I DO want to know where they are going, but I hope that we can make it to Florida and safely at that. I am glad Macie is not at the age where she expects to go and will be severly disappointed if we don't get to go. That will be my job. ha. So, we are still keeping our eye on the weather and praying that we are able to go. But also, it is going to be hard to leave little Averie when I know Gustav is supposed to hit here when we are gone. I know she is in good hands, but still- I will worry about her!!! She is our pride and joy as well as Macie and we will miss her!!! Hopefully my next blog is about our wonderful trip to Disney World and nobody will be there b/c they weren't sure whether to go b/c of the storm and it winds up being beautiful!!!!!!

SUMMER 2008

The girls have had a great time this summer. I can't believe it is already mid-August. We were supposed to leave for Florida tomorrow but we have delayed our trip for 2 weeks b/c of the possible hurricane. A hurricane has not hit FL for three years and then it wants to hit the week we are planning to go, so we are now going Sept. 3- no penalties. We are taking Macie to breakfast with Pooh and to Disney for 2 days. Averie is staying with our parents.

Other than the trip, Macie has learned to paint with water colors. She likes to wear my apron (that I have never personally worn. ha) to paint.

Also, we go to the Ruckus Room on Tuesdays which is a jumping place with her friends which she really enjoys. She says "jump, jump" and acts like she is jumping but can't quite get her feet off the ground yet, but it will come soon.

Averie is having a great summer too. She LOVES Macie already and it is easy to tell and vice versa. Macie tries to sing to Averie or put on her socks and Averie just laughs and enjoys every minute of her sister. I hope that continues forever. ha. She has not gone swimming yet since she can't put sunblock on until she is 6 months old, but we still took pics. of her in her swim suit which was fun. Isn't she cute??!!!! Of course she is.

Well, I will blog again after our trip. I am enjoying every minute of the girls. Aren't girls wonderful?

CAN YOU BELIEVE WE ARE FINALLY ADDING TO OUR BLOG?

I finally figured out how to blog about a month ago. Al set up our first blog but I wanted to learn how to add to it. I figured it out and then our computer broke down. We finally got our new computer in the mail this weekend so I am finally doing it.

Yesterday we went to Kemah with Al's dad. Macie had a great time at the park. We winded up not going to actual Kemah b/c it was way too crowded. Wow look at Macie climb!

Averie also had a great time. She is getting so big! She will be 3 months old this week!!!

Averie has also proven to be a lot like her big sister this weekend. I laughed so hard. I really wanted Averie to take a pacifier so she would not suck on her thumb like so many children do for a long time or her fingers, like her sister. I thought I wanted that, but now in the night when her pacifier falls out, she cries to get it right back in and she doesn't know how to put it in herself yet. Well, I think she has been watching Macie b/c whoever knows Macie at all, knows she sucks her two middle fingers. Well, take a look. Here is Averie... What did I do when I was pregnant to make them do this? Do I secretly suck my fingers in the night?

Here is a cute family picture from Kemah and one of Macie and Averie on the fourth of July that I will "conclude" with for now. Since this is my first time to "blog", I want to make sure this all looks right. I have had a WONDERFUL time being with my girls day in and day out for the past 3 months. I couldn't ask for anything more. I am so thankful and blessed to have 2 beautiful girls that always behave and never act up. ha. Seriously, I thank God every day for my wonderful life- including my wonderful husband of course!!!! I love them with all of my heart!!!

In February 2008, Macie won overall beauty queen and prettiest eyes in her age group. She then moved on to State Finals in May. Unfortunately, she did not win, but she did come in 3rd for best photogenic. No matter what, she will always be our beauty queen!
